There are no set visiting hours at the hospital, although Centro Médico Teknon advises visitors not to come after 10 pm to allow patients to rest and recover.
Intensive care unit (ICU): Family members may visit patients from 7 to 7:45 h, 13:00 to 15:00 h and 18:30 to 19:30 h.
Flowers and indoor plants: Centro Médico Teknon allows flowers in rooms, nevertheless, it is advisable not to have more than two or three bunches at the same time. Please bear in mind that we cannot allow indoor plants in rooms due to health reasons . If a patient receives an indoor plant, it will be kept at the main reception desk.

Information at hand
These new multimedia points, with its ultimate design, offer all the information available in the website for Teknon's patients through a navigation system. This system is provided with a touch screen that facilitates its use.. One of the most remarkable features in these points is an interactive software using a three-dimensional location map to show the way to the different areas and services in Teknon and also to the doctor's surgeries.
Information Points are available for visitors in the main entrance hall, in Accident and Emergency, in Diagnostic Services area and finally in the reception desks of the two Surgery buildings.

An infant's skin is very sensitive, so one has to try to use natural fibre, cotton or batiste clothes to avoid skin conditions.
Therefore, we need to avoid the following:
- angora wool (It consists of different hair types and the baby could inhale them).
- Very thick wools or clothes.
- Ribbons, as they can get tangled around the baby's neck.
- All the clothes labels, needles, bags, etc.
When you buy your babies clothes, first of all you need to wash them separately using a mild detergent recommended for babies.
Choose the clothes for your baby and put them in different bags, a bag for a day.
The content of these bags could be:
- A cotton or batiste shirt.
- Outfit at your choice.
- A pyjamas or a tracksuit.
- A sweater, baby bloomers and a pair of bootees.
- A sweater, baby bloomers, a dress and a pair of bootees.
- A sweater and pants.
- Etc.
You may need as many bags as days you are going to stay in the medical centre (normal labour between 2 and 3 days, Caesarean section between 4 and 5 days). It is advisable to bring some additional clothing in case the baby gets dirty.
The cosmetic products are provided for your baby while you are in hospital, as well as disposable nappies.
